Great for beginners or young bow builders. Or for experienced bow builders wanting to make a youth bow. Made from solid sapwood hickory. The form is already started, you just need to complete it with some final sanding and finishing. Then just add a leather grip, arrow rest and plate, or anything else you want. It's your bow... finish it the way you want! It is recommended that you seal your youth bow after you've finished it. We suggest Spray Polyurethane Bow Finish, or Tru-Oil Finish.
Measures approximately 65" long, 63" string groove-to-string groove. Easy for young bow makers to handle. Manufacturer recommends not drawing this bow past 26". Please note: This bow does not have a warranty.
Bow string included. Draw weight under 25# at a 26" draw. Offered in right or left handed. Please specify.
Bow stringer not included. A bow stringer is recommended for stringing any recurve bow or longbow. Stringing a bow without a bow stringer, or stringing it backwards will/may damage a bow.
Remember that with a traditional bow the weight will change depending your draw length. Bow weight will change approximately ±2 pounds for every inch from a bows rated draw length. So, a bow rated 25# @ 26" is roughly a 23# @ 25".
It is recommended to unstring your primitive bow when you are done shooting, and only string it right before shooting. Store your bow on its side, or hanging vertically from a peg. Never rest the bow on the lower tip for extended periods of time. Never dry fire the bow (shooting without an arrow).
