Samick has designed limbs for the top world class target archers and now they are bringing that design history and technology to the woods with the Discovery R3 foam core carbon hunting limb for your DAS or ILF riser. The Samick R3 limb is constructed of a foam core, paired with a carbon lamination, and sandwiched between black fiberglass to provide a solid recurve limb to transfer energy down range.
Using foam instead of wood for a bow limb's core offers the BEST performance from your bow shot after shot. Foam is a synthetic material, making it uniform and consistent the entire length of the lamination. No grain patterns and much less likely to have imperfections in the material compared to wood. Foam is lighter in weight than wood for faster recovery of the limbs (i.e. faster speed). Foam is also impervious to weather conditions, so feel confident in your shooting anywhere, any conditions.
The carbon strip offers rigidity. Preventing lateral movement during the shot, and faster recovery after the shot. Making your limb perform at its best on every shot. Offered in both DAS limb connection and ILF limb connection for the versatility of using with the large selection of DAS and ILF bow risers.
Combining these elements with the solid phenolic wedge, reinforced tips for using with high performance bow strings, and a stealthy matte finish you have an extremely efficient and effective hunting limb in all conditions.
Choose the limb length of Medium (60" on a 17" riser) or Long (62" on a 17" riser), the pull weights of 30#, 35#, 40#, 45#, 50#, and 55# @ 28" draw (measured on a 17" riser), and the limb connection of DAS or ILF.

Typically with ILF bows the weight will adjust up or down 2# for every 2" of riser length. For example, if a pair of limbs is 40# on a 17" riser, they will be 42# on a 15" riser or 38# on a 19" riser. This is standard for all ILF risers and limbs.
Draw weight is marked at the nearest 5# increment to actual weight, (2#'s under and 3#'s over). This is an industry wide standard.
Bow stringer not included. A bow stringer is recommended for stringing any recurve bow or longbow. Stringing a bow without a bow stringer, or stringing it backwards will void a bow's warranty. Click here to see our Bow Stringers. It is recommended to unstring your bow if you do not plan to be shooting more than week. Store your bow on its side, or hanging vertically from a peg. Never rest the bow on the lower tip for extended periods of time. Never dry fire the bow (shooting without an arrow).
