Wood grain carbon is a great way to meld the look of wood shafting with the strength of carbon. Black Eagle Arrows takes that a step further with the Instinct® arrow, one of the only woodgrain micro-diameter carbon arrows on the market!
The Micro-Diameter size (.165" inside diameter) of the Instinct® helps to offset the off-center design found in many longbows and recurves. It also gives you increased penetration and has less wind drift in flight.
Every pack is spine matched ±.010" and weight matched to ±1 grains per 6-pack for consistent shooting. The straightness is checked on the full length of the extra long 34" shaft. Straightness ± .005". Recommended field point: 5/16".
Black Eagle has also hand crested their Instinct® arrows, giving them the look and feel of a real traditional wood arrow, but with the strength of carbon. They have been three-fletched with 3" shield cut right wing turkey feathers.
Plus, they've added their stainless steel outserts, adding 100 grains to the FOC (front of center) weight of the Instinct®. A Black Eagle "M" Micro Nock (8 grains) is also installed. Please note, the Instinct® outsert adds ¾" to the overall length of the shaft. For example, if you order 30" shafts, they will be cut to 30" and the finished shaft with outsert installed will be 30¾" from the valley of the nock to the end of the insert.
Each arrow is inspected for quality, and features a Duracoat wood grain overlay finish to allow for refletching or recresting.
Available in Barred Yellow/Barred Green, Barred Yellow/Barred Orange, or Black/Barred Red. Choose (spine/GPI): 600/7.9, 500/8.8, 400/9.4, or 350/10.6. Please specify.

Cut Shafts to Length: Have your carbon arrows cut to length. The length is measured from the valley of the nock to the end of the shaft. Minimum length is 27". Tolerance for cut length is ±1/16".
Install Point Inserts: Choose this option to have our experts install your Point Inserts in your shafts. We use epoxy style adhesives on all inserts and most points. Once they are installed, they are permanent. If you want us to use different inserts or adapters (i.e. brass point inserts), please put a comment on your order during checkout referencing what item numbers to use together.
Standard Fletch: Our experienced fletchers will 3-fletch your arrow shafting with 5" shield left wing turkey feathers. The cock feather will be traditional barred and the two hen feathers will be your choice of white, yellow, red, or fluorescent lime (same color for all arrows). Hen feather color can be requested and will be fletched on a CLEAR cap wrap. No substitutions. Allow 4-7 additional business days for your order to be processed.
