Riser: Eichler Signature Series riser. Bear has designed this aluminum takedown riser at 17", giving it just the right size between their popular A and B riser models. The customizable "low," "medium," and "high" shelf radius gives you the flexibility to customize and precision tune your bow to your needs and desires. The riser features a slim, low-wrist grip that helps bring the overall riser weight down. The Eichler Signature riser also comes with an adjustable side plate to adjust center-shot. Tapped with quiver holes, and front/back stabilizer holes. Available in colors of Fred Bear® camo, Buckskin, Hunter Green, Stone, and Mossy Oak® Bottomland.
Limbs: Fred Bear Recurve Limbs are constructed of Dymondwood® with black fiberglass. They feature a core lamination of Fascor. The handcrafted tips are layered with hard rock maple, and black and white fiberglass, so they are able to handle modern high performance bow strings. See chart for determining bow AMO length with different limb models of #1, #2, or #3. Subtract 4" for actual string length needed.
String: The Fred Bear Takedown D97 Bow String is designed for high performancebows. You'll enjoy the extra speed a D97 bow string provides, while also benefiting from the silence and easy adjustments of a Flemish twist string. The string is included FREE with your bow.
Available in right or left hand. See dropdown for all available riser options. Recurve limb models of #1, #2, or #3 in pull weights of 35, 40, 45, 50, and 55#. Please specify.

Let us set up your bow for you with our 3Rivers Bow Set-up Service
Read about Longbow and Recurve Set-up on our blog.
Choose from a left or right handed bow (choose based on what hand you Draw the bow string with), and bow weight at a 28" draw length. Remember that with a traditional bow the weight will change depending upon what your draw length is. Bow weight will change approximately ±2½ pounds for every inch from a bows rated draw length. So a bow rated 45# @ 28" bow is roughly a 42½# @ 27" or 47½# @ 29". Draw weight is marked at the nearest 5# increment to actual weight, (2#'s under and 3#'s over). This is an industry wide standard.
Bow stringer not included. A bow stringer is recommended for stringing any recurve bow or longbow. Stringing a bow without a bow stringer, or stringing it backwards will void a bow's warranty. Click here to see our Bow Stringers. It is recommended to unstring your bow if you do not plan to be shooting more than week. Store your bow on its side, or hanging vertically from a peg. Never rest the bow on the lower tip for extended periods of time. Never dry fire the bow (shooting without an arrow).
