The Cairn Recurve is perfect for bowfishing. The takedown system allows for convenient transportation, and easy switching of different poundage Edge Limbs.
Riser: Measuring 19-1/2" long with a medium grip and constructed in a laminate design for added durability and unique grain pattern look. The radiused shelf is cut to center. Comes with adhesive backing and an elevated rest (not installed). Features front stabilizer bushing, plunger hole, and ATA accessory holes.
Arrow Rest: The Cairn comes with an elevated arrow rest.
Limbs: Featuring a maple core with black fiberglass facing and backing and reinforced limb tips to work with today's modern high performance strings.
String: Includes endless loop Dacron bow string.
AMS Retriever® Pro Bowfishing Reel
The AMS Retriever® Pro is ideal for fresh and salt water. Simple function with zero drag and line control. The line stacks in a bottle rather than on a drum or spool for snag-free shooting. Fast arrow retrieval in seconds to get you ready to shoot again. Mounts to bow AMO sight inserts (ATA Accessory Inserts).
AMS Chaos® FX Fish Point and Fiberglass Arrow
The Chaos® FX bowfishing point features a vibration dampening AMS Cyclone® tip. AMS inspects all of their 31-½" fiberglass shafts for straightness. Safety Slide and nock are installed on the arrow.
Roller Rest
The Roller Rest installs in your plunger hole. The simple design features a rust-proof Delrin roller on a brass shaft.
No-Glov Finger Savers
The No-Glov is impervious to all weather conditions, and since they're attached to the bow string, you can't forget or lose them.
Read Bowfishing with Longbows and Recurve Bows
Choose from a left or right handed bow (choose based on what hand you Draw the bow string with), and bow weight at a 28" draw length. Remember that with a traditional bow the weight will change depending upon what your draw length is. Bow weight will change approximately ±2½ pounds for every inch from a bows rated draw length. So a bow rated 45# @ 28" bow is roughly a 42½# @ 27" or 47½# @ 29". Draw weight is marked at the nearest 5# increment to actual weight, (2#'s under and 3#'s over). This is an industry wide standard.
Bow stringer not included. A bow stringer is recommended for stringing any recurve bow or longbow. Stringing a bow without a bow stringer, or stringing it backwards will void a bow's warranty. Click here to see our Bow Stringers. It is recommended to unstring your bow if you do not plan to be shooting more than week. Store your bow on its side, or hanging vertically from a peg. Never rest the bow on the lower tip for extended periods of time. Never dry fire the bow (shooting without an arrow).
